History path Goerlitz/Zgorzelec

Explore the recent history of the European City of Görlitz-Zgorzelec on a walk! The website www.pfade-goerlitz.eu and a city map recommend six routes that take you to places of interest on both sides of the Neisse River. The special thing about these places is that they are historically connected.

Until the border was drawn in 1945, today's Zgorzelec was a suburb of Görlitz. So today, on the German and Polish banks of the Neisse, there are places, monuments and institutions that refer to each other in their historical significance.

The „History path Goerlitz-Zgorzelec“ was realised by the Silesian Museum in Görlitz with partners in Görlitz and Zgorzelec. The project was developed within the framework of the project „Silesia – a common natural and cultural heritage“ and financed through the INTERREG Poland-Saxony 2014-2020 cooperation programme.

The website www.pfade-goerlitz.eu and the city map offer the information in German, Polish and English.

You can download an app from the website.

The city map is available free of charge at the Görlitz tourist information offices and museums.
