Pewter Flagon (so-called “Grinding Flagon”) from Breslau, 1491

This huge and richly ornamented pewter flagon („grinding flagon”) is a true rarity. There are only 14 vessels of this kind known worldwide, all of them exclusively made in Late Medieval Silesia. The flagon presented in the Silesian Museum is 36 cm high and was created by a Breslau pewterer in 1491.
